SABER EL SAYED 

TECHNICAL DIRECTOR AND LIGHTING TECHNICIANS MENTOR

Beginning his career at the American University in Cairo (AUC), El Sayed has worked on 14 productions and taken part in various workshops, including a theatre-technique workshop at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in the United States, a lighting design workshop at Al Hamra Theatre in Tunisia, and a workshop in theatre-lighting design at Studio Emad Eddin with Charlie Åström from Sweden. He has also worked on numerous theatre productions, including Ahmed El Attar’s “On the Importance of Being Arab”, “Mother I Want to Be a Millionaire”, and “The Last Supper”.

Some of his other works include “In the Penal Colony” by Hassan El Geretly, “Lessons in Revolting” by Laila Soliman, “Small Happy Family” by Mohamed Shafik, and “Turnover” by Shaimaa Shoukry. He is also the co-founder of Hal Badeel festival and the co-producer of the performance “May7komsh”. El Sayed was also the technical director of the “Night of Contemporary Dance” festival and 2B Continued Laboratory and Festival in 2015.
